Blocklist Aggregators

A Blocklist Aggregator combines multiple private blocklists into a single URL. Instead of configuring your firewall to poll each blocklist individually, you can point it to one aggregator URL and get a merged list of all blocked IPs across the selected blocklists.

This simplifies firewall configuration, especially when managing multiple blocklists. In a future update, aggregators will also provide access to public community blocklists.

The number of blocklists an aggregator can combine is limited by your subscription tier.

Creating a Blocklist Aggregator

Creating an aggregator is a two-step process:

  1. Go to Aggregators under Blocklists in the sidebar and click + Create Aggregator.
  2. Step 1 - Blocklist Aggregator Name: Enter a descriptive name for the aggregator.
  3. Step 2 - Private Blocklists: Select the blocklists this aggregator should combine. The current usage count (e.g. "2 of 10 Blocklists Aggregated") is shown in the top right to help you track your limit. Click Create Blocklist Aggregator to finish.

Accessing Your Aggregator

After creation, open the aggregator via Edit to find the Aggregator URL. This is the endpoint your firewalls should poll to retrieve the merged blocklist.

The URL format is:

https://limes.nxtfireguard.de/aggregator/<your-aggregator-id>

The same rows parameter available on individual blocklists also works on aggregator URLs to cap the number of returned entries:

https://limes.nxtfireguard.de/aggregator/<your-aggregator-id>?rows=500

Managing Aggregators

Editing an aggregator: click Edit on any aggregator card to update its name or change which blocklists are included. The Edit panel also shows current usage against your tier's aggregation limit.

Deleting an aggregator: click Delete Aggregator inside the Edit panel. This permanently removes the aggregator and its URL. Any firewalls polling that URL will stop receiving updates.
