Notification Groups
A Notification Group is a set of email addresses that NxtFireGuard will notify when a health issue is detected on an applied Traffic Sensor or Threat Feed Aggregator. Each group supports To, CC, and BCC recipients.
Notification Groups are applied to Traffic Sensors as Uptime Notification Groups during sensor setup, and can also be applied to Threat Feed Aggregators to alert you if an aggregator goes down or stops functioning.
Creating a Notification Group
Creating a notification group is a four-step process:
- Go to Notification Groups in the sidebar and click + Create Notification Group.
- Step 1 - Name and Description: Enter a name and an optional description for the group.
- Step 2 - Notification Group Emails: Add the email addresses that should receive notifications. Click + Add Email for each recipient and set the email type to To, CC, or BCC.
- Step 3 - Traffic Sensors: Select which Traffic Sensors this group should monitor. NxtFireGuard will send notifications to the group if any of the selected sensors experience health issues.
- Step 4 - Threat Feed Aggregators: Select which Threat Feed Aggregators this group should monitor. Click Create Notification Group to finish.
Managing Notification Groups
Editing a group: click Edit on any notification group card to update its name, description, email recipients, or the Traffic Sensors and Threat Feed Aggregators it is applied to.
Deleting a group: click Delete Notification Group inside the Edit panel. Sensors and aggregators that had this group applied will no longer send uptime notifications.
